Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 18, 2026

1. Overview

Excuseify ("we", "our", or "us") provides AI-assisted message suggestions. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you use the service, how we handle it, and what we do not retain.

2. Information We Process (and What We Do Not Store)

Generation inputs and outputs: When you generate a message or email, your inputs (such as situation, purpose, tone, and format) are sent to our systems only to produce a response for that request. We do not use that content to train third-party models or sell it. Processing is limited to what is needed to return your result in real time.

Limited operational records: We may store a small technical record of generation parameters and the returned text (for example in an internal log or database) to run the service, reduce abuse, and fix errors. This is not a user-facing archive you can browse like an inbox, and it is not used to build advertising profiles.

Aggregated analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to understand anonymous, aggregate traffic (for example, page views and performance). This does not include the text of your excuses.

Infrastructure and security: Like any hosted website, our infrastructure providers may create short-lived technical records (for example, request routing or error diagnostics) needed to operate the service securely. Those providers process such data under their own policies and retention schedules.

Support messages: If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message so we can respond. We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain basic business records.

3. How We Use Information

  • Deliver the excuse or message you asked for in the current session.
  • Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the platform (including abuse prevention).
  • Review aggregate analytics to understand product usage at a high level.
  • Respond to support emails you send us.

4. Data Retention

We do not maintain a user-facing archive of your generation history that you can open and browse in the product. Limited operational records may be kept for a bounded period for reliability and abuse prevention. Support emails are retained for a reasonable period to handle your inquiry. Aggregate analytics are kept according to our analytics provider’s policies. Where infrastructure logs exist, they are retained only as long as our providers require for security and reliability.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information in the following cases:

  • With service providers who help us run the platform (for example, hosting and infrastructure).
  • To comply with legal obligations, lawful requests, or enforce our terms.
  • To protect users, the public, and the security of our systems.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use essential cookies or similar technologies for core functionality, security, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and product usage. Data processing is subject to Vercel's policies. See Vercel's Privacy Policy .

We also use Google AdSense to display advertisements on eligible content pages. Google may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to serve ads, measure performance, and limit repetitive impressions.

Depending on your region, we may ask for consent before loading Google ad scripts. Visitors in stricter regions such as the UK or Europe may see a prompt before ad-related storage is enabled. In other regions, ads may load under a lighter disclosure model unless you choose to opt out through our site controls or browser settings.

Google may serve personalized or non-personalized ads depending on available consent signals, device settings, and Google's own policies. For more information about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, see Google's partner sites policy .

7. Your Responsibilities

Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or government ID data) in generation requests. You are responsible for how generated outputs are used and for following the rules of your school, employer, or platform.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your data. To request privacy-related support, contact us at excuseifyai@gmail.com.

You can also manage ad-related choices through the "Ad Choices" link in our footer, your browser controls, or Google's ad settings tools.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.
